The Stone Mountain Laser show is an annual spectacular celebration of laser light display in Atlanta, Georgia that has, for the past twenty-six years or so, become part of Atlanta’s tradition.
It is during this celebration that the people of Atlanta, or nearby, converge in Stone Mountain Park just a few miles from downtown Atlanta, in the city of Stone Mountain. They come to watch the dazzling and fantastic Stone Mountain Laser show.
The concept of staging Laser shows is actually making use of beams and screen effects. Beams are of two types, one dynamic and the other is static. Dynamic beams move around and are turned on and off while static beams do not move at all.
To make these beams visible, a screen is used which can have graphics, animation, abstracts, cycloids and other possible projected effects. The entire process of manning the show backstage may require knowledge and expertise on how laser shows work and knowing the potential hazards that goes along with it.
This year, the Stone Mountain Laser Show starts on April 1st and ends on the 29th of October. It is expected to be more spectacular and dazzling than the previous laser shows. It is more elaborate, innovative and creative. The fireworks displays have a choreographed musical scoring that is outstanding.
As usual, the spectators are expected to bring along food and blankets so they can relax and watch the show. Souvenir items and food can also be bought inside the park. Snack packages and All-You-Can-Eat Dinner Package will also be made available to its visitors. Cool, isn’t it?
The Stone Mountain Laser Show presentation lasts approximately forty-five minutes. It is considered to be the best attraction in Stone Mountain Park or even Atlanta, Georgia. There are several other activities to help visitors past time. There is hiking, biking, and boat riding. Lots of people also have their family reunions and picnic at the park.
If you love to go out with your pet, the Stone Mountain Laser Show may be not enticing to you. There are some restrictions. Pets are not allowed inside the park during the show. Disabled persons are welcome. They are given special seat reservations.
